Outdoor music season begins this week for us with an old-time music concert and jam in our front yard. This is our way of participating in our neighborhood’s annual Bryn Mawr Festival of Garage Sales without actually hosting a garage sale. It give us a chance to vet our farmers market equipment while getting reacquainted with our neighbors and meeting new ones. It’s also a good chance to get reacquainted with the words to any songs that have gotten a little rusty. And a chance to greet any of you who drop by.
The summer gigs we have booked are posted on our website calendar and that’s always a place to check for updates. We have farmers markets through late October. One big piece of news is that we made it into the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Festival, the big festival at El Rancho Manana in August. We’ll also be at the Stone Arch Bridge Festival on Father’s Day weekend and at the Underground Music Cafe at the end of June. And Hedgehog Holler, and new band with Pamela Longtine, will be playing for a Family Dance next weekend at Tapestry.
